Casa Luna is a custom-designed and purpose-built accommodation house in a modern Australian style, set on a hill overlooking the beautiful & intimate valley of the Boggy Creek at Myrrhee in North East Victoria. It is a great example of a partnership between Clients, Designer and Builders, all sharing a clear focus on quality and integrity in design, construction and finish.

Solar Passive Design
The wall structure of this new home is constructed from thermally efficient Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF), a styrene foam system that has steel reinforced concrete at its core. Extensive consultation between Clients and Designer developed a plan that took advantage of the sites scope for Northern orientation, maximizing the solar benefit.

Solar passive, earth rendered straw bale dwelling with a 7.5 star Energy Rating. This dwelling was built in Whitfield, Victoria in 2008 and won the Master Builders Association of Victoria Award for Best Sustainable Energy Home for the North East Region.
